Set in WWII, a hybrid symphony about man's inner war expressed in the outer scales of world war with redemption found in our lost vulnerability; written on the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's ninth.

Papers, first movement https://youtu.be/OkcRTkwRBNI
Papers can mean being drafted, letters home while deployed, and a letter no mother wants to receive. A soldier is picked up by his men as we follow his war through fields of open battle, tanks plowing over breaking bridges, followed by air strikes towards the beaches where metal sinks metal in the deep seas, and come to rest back in the open fields.
War Bonds, second movement https://youtu.be/p0PNmPeVO8M
War breaks as well as bonds. Men excited to break free of the bondage and boredom of the depression era seek adventure and belonging through the advent of war, only weeks later to perish, or to survive and bond in silence with those who have also known war.
Westron Rose, third movement https://youtu.be/QnraqYZBmOg
The underlying theme in slow motion, as survivors wake within the rubble to come across the rose. The lost femininity that opens and heals.
Kneel, fourth movement https://youtu.be/pVwadaE-HEc
So the rose may bloom again. Kneel to heal; as one ego dies, another emerges. A balance of male and female choirs and the absence of the main theme indicate a new narrative.
